[Kim Dokja, who had been in the middle of considering various "hypotheticals" before picking one to actually say, immediately freezes and THIS IS THE MOST APPALLED LOOK ON HIS FACE
HOW CAN THIS BE HAPPENING TO HIM?
WHY DID HE FORGET YU JUNGHYEOK ALSO IS HERE?
... tbqh, the only reason he hasn't already just rolled off the bed in sheer mortification is because Han Suyeong currently has a grip on his hair.]
[ okay finally letting dokja go so she can sit up to scowl at junghyeok. ]
Who's to say this isn't just a weird form of jealousy on your part, you bastard? I don't see you coming into my room teach me how to write better romance, as if you were capable of it in the first place.
[sometimes, the way to cope with the embarrassment of people discussing your chances at a sex life is by just closing your eyes and pretending that's not the situation.]
But you're already here? Unless it's something you can't say around me?
Nothing dries a girl up faster than this bullshit, so even if he's not soft by now...
[ rolls her eyes a bit and pushes off the bed to go dig into her coat pocket, hesitating at her pack of cigarettes and instead opting for a lollipop, ears low. ]
This place can be changed and new things can be acquired if enough people want them at the same time, right? That's how the new buildings and locations have shown up so far?
[welp, time to shelve any thoughts or ideas about that--SAVED FROM OPENING CANS OF WORMS BY REJECTION, HELL YES.
but thank god for Helpful NPC LARPing because he actually does know the answer to that question:]
Right. It's like manifesting people's dreams and wishes--since this place is between dream and reality... the more people who want for something, the more likely it is to manifest. Echidna wanted a recreation room, so we all put in the request for it. After enough people submitted the request, a new door to a rec room showed up.
We need something that will allow us to break through the limits of the scenario restriction. If another attack happens like when the fence broke, we can't just be at the whims of how powerful this prison decides to allow us to be.
The problem with that... is whoever manifested this place in the first place dictates the rules about what we receive. When they're generous, we get a library that's bigger on the inside and has access to texts from many, many wordlines. But when it's not so generous, we get things like a knock-off costume shop-laundry facility.
If you're thinking "safe house", that's one thing, but you have to keep in mind the restrictions according to the "rules" this "world" follows.
[in fact, person who knows all about that kind of thing: this guy.]
You can try to find loopholes when you know what those rules are.
Unfortunately, this place seems vastly more restrictive than the Star Stream ever was. It's not that concerned with making a good story, after all.
I don't know what you think a place given to us by this place's whims might do to benefit us. More than anything, we might benefit more from buying our monsters' powers and using them in conjunction with what we already have access to.
Ah, Junghyeok-ah, you keep acting like your dragon is such a pain, but it just seems to be a cute fan of yours? Take some time to look into its story? Maybe then it'll stop interrupting yours?

Who's begging? Of course this is just a hypothetical situation.

[Guuuesss who's standing in the doorway.]
[He's holding the doorknob. Where does he get the nerve to look this judgmental when he's the one who opened the door???]

What, do you have a problem what I do in the privacy of my own bedroom?

[Just. Goin' right for it. Yup.]
Just get to in a less obnoxious manner. Aren't writers supposed to be able to come up with good dialog?

I'll give you two tokens to not do that.

I assume you're here for more than to just ruin Kim Dokja's chances at getting laid.

[Anyway.]
I came to talk to Han Suyeong about something. If you two are going to screw, I'll come back later.

[ sighs and runs a hand through her hair, then gestures to the box on the dresser. ]
There's extra cake if you want it. Come in and close the door, I'm sure it's fine for Kim Dokja to hear.
no subject
Are you sure you don't want me to come back later. [As if he hasn't already killed the moment like he kills so many constellations.]

[there's a touch of sarcasm because that couldn't be it, of course]

Just get on with it, Yu Junghyeok.

Larger structures probably need more people.
